Introductions Post

I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Alexcat, female, a little past middle age, an MCU and Tolkien fan though I write in many fandoms. I live in a rural area in a red state so not a lot of fannish folk near me. I have one hubby and not really any other family. Fandom is home tio me and I like it to be a safe place fir all.

I write and I crochet blankets and shawls and such. I'm hoping to spend more time here at DW since I've given up toxic social media sites like Facebook. Never was on Twitter or Instagram much anyway. I am at Tumblr(alexcat45) and Discord(alex_writes).

HI! I'm Nancy, I'm... somewhere between 30 and 40 years old!

I've been in fandom for agessss, but since COVID times (god, time flies) mostly passively as a reader. I've been really missing the old school fandom spaces, though, and feeling hella nostalgic for like Livejournal and Yahoo!Groups and even Geocities type times haha, but Dreamwidth is pretty much the last bastion that kinda feels like that so I've come back here.

I've wandered through many a fandom in my time, big ones like the MCU or small ones with maybe 1 single fic hidden somewhere on the internet.
